Halves by New Mother Nature consists of half of their 2012 full-length and half of their 2014 full length. Originally released on CD and Cassette only. This is the first NMN 12-inch vinyl record and, in our opinion, their greatest songs from both of the aforementioned albums. Imagine if Gary Newman moved to southern Indiana, became a farmer, and started a Songs: Ohio cover band, or maybe what if Neutral Milk Hotel collaborated with John Fahey and the Buzzcocks. I don’t know quite how to pin their sound down, and neither do you, because you probably haven’t heard New Mother Nature. You probably don’t know how well they strike familiar chords of anthemic folk influenced post-punk that gifts the listener an enlightened feeling of just how fortunate we are to be alive.
This is a the most done-it-ourselves Future Heart Works release yet. The jackets are screen printed with white and metallic gold ink. Even the record labels are screen printed by hand with metallic gold ink. A limited edition of 180 on black vinyl.
