One of the foundational bands of the Washington, DC hardcore scene, Scream formed in 1979. Their debut LP, Still Screaming, was released in 1982 on Dischord Records and was the label's first full-length album release. Scream followed this with a second full-length album, This Side Up, in 1984. Their successive albums Banging the Drum (1987), No More Censorship (1988), Fumble (1993), and, most recently, DC Special (2023), along with their extensive touring throughout the US, UK, and Europe, have made them one of the most respected and seminal bands born of the DC hardcore scene.
