(The) Obits were a four-piece rock/punk band from Brooklyn, NY, that included Rick Froberg (Hot Snakes, Drive Like Jehu), Sohrah Habibion (Savak, Edsel), Greg Simpson (Savak), and Alexis Fleisig (Girls Against Boys, Soulside). Formed in 2006, Obits released three albums and multiple singles on Sub Pop Records, toured extensively, and called it quits in 2015. In the years following their breakup, The Obits released live and compilation albums on Outer Battery Records.
