The members of Louisville, Kentucky’s COPIERS were created by an autonomous 3D printer from the year 2099. They then traveled back in time 80 years to educate themselves with tactics to solve a suspect cybersecurity issue not unlike the digital horror of Y2K. Upon arriving in the year 2019, their mission morphed into a task that was a bit more hopeful and significant; to make fucked up music.
By the time the F.H.W.W. (Future Heart Workers of the World) were invited to join forces with Copiers, they had already psychosomatically released two LPs and one EP. These four individuals individually discovered their purpose and deconstructed their mainframes with precious precision through the time and space occupied by cosmic music from around the globe.
With Copiers’ new LP titled approximately “Third”, they suture the broken hooks of Glen Blanca-esque guitar and the loaded rhythms of Can (the band) while an obtuse sax or synth squeaks, or squeals, or soothes. This 6-song full length album doesn’t need vocals. Imagine if PiL’s Second Edition and Can’s Tago Mago shared the same bowl of punch and kicked out their prima donna singers to start a group without all that uncontrollable whining. Copiers doesn’t need a singer to whine while they play their instruments because they are experts at making their instruments whine. Their songs aren’t the same; some might make you dance, some might make you sleep, and some might make you sick. But that’s the excitement of Copiers' mission. These punk-kraut freaks are not here to please you. They are here for the betterment of what shan’t be in the future of music.
